Tamra and Arturo knew what they wanted for their special day from the get-go. I couldn’t believe it when they told me they knocked out all of their wedding planning in a single weekend! Let me just say, that is not the norm for most couples. But, these two knew what they wanted and what they didn’t want. They chose to have an intimate, laid back Vuka Bouldin Creek wedding in Austin, Texas. They are both from Texas so they knew tacos and tequila were a must-have! Arturo also took it upon himself to include his favorite dessert -- churros!
A barefoot wedding and a dreamy wedding dress
They wanted to include a special guest as part of their special day: Little Miss Carla - the sweet little dog that Arturo surprised Tamra with when he proposed. She made a memorable appearance throughout the entire day.
A fun fact about this wedding was that Tamra chose to be barefoot the entire day! I’ve heard (and seen!) the blisters on a bride's feet from wearing 4-inch wedding shoes all day so I think Tamra is onto something! 😉 Tamra had her dress picked out before she was even engaged - a BHLDN by Anthropologie dress that was absolutely stunning!
Tamra and Arturo shared some of their favorite parts of their day, which included their first look, their vow-reading, dancing with friends and family, and their last dance together in an empty venue. It was a magical, backyard wedding at Vuka Bouldin Creek and I am so excited for their life together!
