Today we're focusing on one vintage and modern event rentals company, in particular, Bee Lavish!

Bee Lavish is an Austin-based business that began in the garage of owner Denise Stone’s home in 2011. With a love for all things vintage, repurposed, and reused, she saw a need for beautiful things to be used in a unique way in the event industry. Denise started a webpage and began collecting china and furniture.

Bee Lavish now has a 6000 sq. ft. showroom/warehouse filled with exciting pieces that clients can use at their wedding, bridal party, photoshoot, and other special events. They also provide design and styling services in addition to event rentals.

Denise, what do you love most about your work? 

Our vendor friends and clients really do make our work a joy! Our products are super fun too! And seeing the end result in the form of a photo is really exciting as well. Okay, we love it ALL!

What's your favorite part of working within the wedding industry? 

The client response and seeing the final product from the photographer. Seeing happy couples on one of their most important days and being a tiny part of that experience is very rewarding.

Where do you find the most inspiration for Bee Lavish?

Fashion design typically points toward upcoming trends in furniture and event design, so keeping an eye out for fabric trends is very inspiring.

When it comes to vintage and modern event rentals, what trends are you loving right now?

What can clients expect when working with Bee Lavish? 

We are design-forward and love to create an experience. Our showroom is a great place to play with design. We want to spend time with each client and get to know what their overall vision is. We want to exceed expectations and elevate their event!

What goes into creating a couple's wedding vision? 

We start with a consult, then help our client get to know our inventory online and in our showroom. We discuss what pieces we can use and how to create the vibe our couple is looking for. 

We then take them on a tour of our warehouse. They can begin selecting pieces and making choices for each space. Ceremony backdrops, lounge spaces, tabletop, and bar can all be mocked up in our warehouse space. We will create a comprehensive order with each item pictured and an outline of what each item is used for. We create a design board with the color palette and rental order attached.  

How far in advance should couples book your vintage and modern event rentals?

8-10 months.

What tips or advice can you give couples planning their big day? 

Keep an open mind, hire a planner, hire us (;  and hire a photographer that captures your day (it goes very quickly). HAVE FUN and don't follow the rules!
