Sam and Robby got married last year during the pandemic. But in spite of restrictions around travel and number of guests, they created such a warm-hearted celebration at the Union on Eighth! In such an intimate event, family really took center stage here; with Sam walking down the aisle between both her mother and her father. Little kids really added so much joy to this wedding, too, especially on the dance floor. It was such a privilege to get to capture a window into this family’s closeness at such a significant event!

Little Details Made a Big Impact on This Union on Eighth Wedding

In my experience as a wedding and elopement photographer, the smaller the event you’re planning, the more that the little details matter. You don’t have to have lots of elements to your wedding day; as long as the ones you do have really shine. Sam and Robby did such a good job with that.

The outdoor space at the Union on Eighth was transformed for the ceremony with a simple wooden frame, crowned with luscious foliage. Sam decided to keep her bouquet in green shades, along with a wild wreath of leaves that she wore in her hair. She also wore this incredible statement necklace studded with turquoise stones. It was the perfect way to put a personal twist on a traditional bridal look!

Other details made the reception, in the beautiful barn-like venue at the Union on Eighth, feel extra-special. This includes the ‘Love Made Me Do It’ neon sign, the silver car photo-booth, the cupcake table. The simple but thoughtful design of this wedding helped the joy of the day really shine!
