This wedding at the Winfield Inn was one of the more creative and unique aesthetics I’ve seen. Sarah actually did all of the decor herself! She describes her vision as “moody Victorian-ish with jewel tones”, and her use of color really pulled everything together.

The groom’s side wore all black, while the bridesmaids wore a variety of deep jewel tones. An example of the kind of attention to detail that made this wedding so fantastic, each of the groomsmen wore a pocket square that matched the bridesmaid dresses! Sarah herself wore a dramatic two-piece custom dress that she helped to design, complete with the sweeping black skirt.

Honoring Legacy at this Wedding at the Winfield Inn

Jimmy and Sarah got married under the trees at the Winfield Inn on Sarah’s grandparents’ 57th wedding anniversary, and it was so special to watch them share the day together. They surprised their grandparents by inviting them to have a turn cutting the cake and feeding it to each other, just like they did 57 years ago. “The pictures of that will be treasured forever,” Sarah remembers.

Another one of her favorite memories from the day was when Sarah and Jimmy surprised all their guests by performing a full choreographed dance for their first dance! They kicked the party off with a bang, and their playful spirits were at the heart of the party. Just one of the myriad fun details that Sarah came up with was the custom made lego figurines, designed with the same outfits as the bride and groom wore. “I’m very proud of how all of the decor turned out,” Sarah said. “My vision came to life perfectly, and the Winfield Inn was the perfect backdrop for the perfect day.”
