This lighthearted Springdale Station wedding was a riot of joy. Erin and Alan wanted to create a day centered around food and fun - in their words, these are their favorite things. And I can confirm that they pulled it off!
One of the fun things about this wedding was that it was a real full circle moment. Erin and Alan met years ago at a wedding, when Erin was a bridesmaid and Alan was a groomsman for some mutual friends. Fast forward to today, and these same friends are officiating at their wedding! Having them there just felt right.
The Springdale Station’s clean architecture helped Erin and Alan lean into a chic, modern aesthetic. Their ceremony was held in an all-white room, with one simple garland of leaves framing them as they said their vows. It was so striking! And Erin’s two different gowns were both so elegant and beautiful.
Fabulous Food at this Springdale Station Wedding
When it came to the food, they wanted to incorporate appetizers that reflected their families’ cultures and their own comfort food. LaPera helped them choose a menu that tasted and looked high-end yet felt casual and familiar, with Filipino lumpia (from Erin’s mom’s side of the family) and pierogies (from Alan’s dad’s side). They were a hit!
The actual meal itself at Springdale Station was served food-fest style which made a normal buffet feel elevated, with beautiful color on full display! They also had a cookie table that Alan’s mother coordinated and planned. Both his parents are from Pittsburgh and had a cookie table at their wedding – it’s a tradition they wanted to continue.
I loved every second of shooting Erin and Alan’s wedding at Springdale Station, and I’m wishing them the most amazing years ahead. Take a look at this Grand Lady Austin wedding for a glimpse into another joy-filled day, and be sure to scroll through my blog for more.
