Commonly referred to as the “Jewel in the heart of Austin”, Zilker Botanical Garden offers a lush, cool sanctuary within the bustle of the city. Beautiful gardens and shady walkways made this (and the surrounding area) the perfect place for this couple to have their engagement photos taken.
The Second Time Around
Sabrina and Rehman originally knew each other in college back in 2006, but lost touch after Sabrina attended law school. Twelve years later, while attending a mutual friend’s wedding, the couple encountered each other once again. As they reunited and started to reconnect, this was the true beginning of their relationship, and one that has endured to this day.
A Unique Proposal
Rehman works as a film editor, so when he brought Sabrina into Austin during the week for work, she didn’t think much of it. Late on a Sunday afternoon, the couple rested at a bridge known for its bat population. Prompting her to act a little silly for a video, Rehman actually dropped to his knee and proposed as the bats awoke and took to the night sky. Thankfully, a friend secretly watching the event caught it all on video. Following a similar theme, the wedding they were planning for December featured Bohemian/Gothic vibes with dark florals and more.

Made For Each Other
Sabrina and Rehman are grateful to have found one another (twice!), and truly feel that their relationship is meant to be. Not only that, but they discovered that their families had known each other for many years in Bangladesh and Pakistan. Old pictures revealed events that featured members of both families, and they even found out their grandfathers had been business partners, friends, and religious co-leaders together. Sabrina and Rehman’s union has truly enmeshed their families and brought them together.
