Every wedding is unique and showcases the style and story of the couple. Sometimes engaged couples are afraid that they won't be able to put this same level of personalization into their day if they elope, but this doesn't have to be true! Because the traditional elements of a wedding don't necessarily have to be followed for an elopement, there are no limits to what the day can look like. That means there may even be more opportunities to really let your story shine. The beautiful thing about an elopement is that everything truly revolves around the bride and groom. Whether you choose to celebrate this milestone in your journey with hundreds of people, or just the two of you, it's a grand celebration of the love you share!

The elopement of Alexa and Travis is a prime example of this. Their love was the sole focus of the night, with constant laughter and beautiful wedding vows that acted as a window into the wonderful story they share together.
Alexa flew all the way from Canada for their elopement, without telling a single person! Austin was the first place they traveled together, so it provided the perfect backdrop to tie the knot.
We walked through Rainey Street, a fun and unique bar district in Austin. We all forgot how busy this area is on a Friday evening. You can imagine that the beautiful white wedding dress and Travis' classy tux turned more than a few heads. Suffice to say, they ended up with an unexpected amount of witnesses to their special day! 😉
They exchanged vows and danced together by the lake. It was a magically intimate moment, one that I felt honored to be a part of! The evening ended with Alexa and Travis feeding each other donuts from Little Lucy's, with a bar full of people watching!
Alexa and Travis made an impression on more than just the bar guests that were starting their weekend on Rainey Street that night. They are the kind of people that leave a positive imprint on everyone they meet, including this photographer that captured them! They clearly marked each other's hearts and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives...

Before you jump into the photos, check out what this couple had to say about working with me:
"Nikk is legit the best. We eloped, so having amazing photos to share with our friends and family was really important to us, and Nikk absolutely killed it.
He made us feel comfortable, even though we’re both super awkward in front of the camera (no small feat taking photos downtown Austin on a Friday evening and lots of people watching). I love how Nikk’s photos are so natural looking. We got to be ourselves, and not super posed.
He also did us a HUGE favour and expedited editing our photos, so that we could show people right away. It really helped ease the surprise to our parents, and we’re forever grateful.
Nikk is generally just an all around great dude. He’s nice, fun, and a supremely talented photographer. 15/10 would recommend!"
