Megan & Josh's Wedding

After such a successful and fun engagement shoot with Megan and Josh I knew this was going to be an unforgettable wedding day and, sure enough, it was! The day itself was absolutely gorgeous! It had been raining intensely for a week, but the weather was perfect when their wedding day arrived at Prospect House!

(note: I recently posted about Megan and Josh's engagement session, so if you haven't checked it out yet, you can take a look here: Megan & Josh's Sophisticated Enchanted Rock Engagements)

At the risk of sounding cliche, I truly believe these two were made for each other and honestly, I can't think of a better way to say it than that! The amount of love and affection I've witnessed between Megan and Josh as their wedding photographer is enough to move anyone's heart. I'll never forget the moments when they each read the beautifully crafted notes from each other as they sat alone and uninterrupted in their respective suites. There were so many wonderful emotions in those moments!

As I mentioned above, I was the lucky wedding photographer that got to shoot Megan and Josh's engagement session, so I was already a big fan of theirs when their big day arrived. I'm not exaggerating when I say these two are a perfect example of the ideal bride and groom to work with! It's not hard to tell from their photos that they LOVE to have fun and that's exactly what they did throughout the entire wedding day. I was so happy to be a part of it and I didn't want it to end, in fact, I don't think anyone really did. During our short time together we had established such an awesome relationship and in the end after I had finished editing their photos, it was bittersweet to send off their gallery to them because I knew our amazing time together had come to an end!

I hope you enjoy looking through these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them and that you are able to experience even just a taste of how wonderful Megan and Josh's special day was for everyone involved!

Before you jump into the photos, here’s what this happy couple had to say about working with me:

"Nikk Nguyen is the THE BEST. Seriously. When my husband and I got engaged, I searched the web and reached out to a handful of photographers before we found Nikk. His work really stood out from all the others because his aesthetic is strong without being overly stylized, he's got an eye for detail, and most importantly, the couples he photographs look natural, effortless, and comfortable (no prom poses here, folks). We knew before we met him that we wanted him to document all the wonderful moments on our wedding day - it didn't hurt that he's a SUPER nice guy too. We signed with Nikk and an assistant photographer for the big day as well as an engagement session. I absolutely recommend the engagement session, btw, especially if you've never been in front of a camera like us. I was worried about looking awkward (never know what to do with my hands), but he made us feel so comfortable during our shoot, guiding us the whole way, and it shows in our photos. Nikk was equally amazing on our wedding day. He encouraged our goofiness and reigned it in when it was time for our more "official" wedding portraits. He captured so many beautiful moments, from the candid shots of our friends and family to the artfully executed images of the decorative details, and so many more. Every photo he took was carefully considered and we'll cherish them forever. Long story short, we would hire Nikk over and over and over again."
