Rich Tradition Met Modern Simplicity in This Wedding at Kindred Oaks
Meghan and Edward’s understated wedding at Kindred Oaks was full of warmth and family feeling! There was so much love and thought put into the tiniest details. A beautiful moment, before the event had even begun, was when the bride and groom exchanged gifts while they were getting ready. Meghan sent one of her bridesmaids to deliver a package to Edward’s room. It was a gold chain necklace, and custom cufflinks engraved with the date and coordinates of their wedding. This mix of playful details and sweet romance - tradition with a modern twist - was the perfect epitome of the rest of this wedding at Kindred Oaks.
For their ceremony, Meghan and Edward chose to use Kindred Oaks’ Lincoln Chapel. It was a beautiful, minimal take on the classic chapel. The wedding part processed through the lawn up to the chapel steps, followed by Meghan, who arrived on the arm of her mom. As a final crowning moment of the ceremony, the crowd welcomed a bagpipe player. He serenaded the wedding party as a nod to the couple’s Scottish ancestry.
This Wedding at Kindred Oaks Had Something For Everyone
The families in this wedding included a lot of young kids, and Meghan and Edward put a lot of thought into how to make the celebration fun for them, too. Their reception, in a beautiful barn-like space which opened out into the lawn featured different outdoor games like a massive Jenga set. Kids and adults got involved - the whole atmosphere was joyful and playful! Everyone had a blast on the dance floor. The night ended with Edward carrying Meghan out in his arms, to the laughter and cheers of their friends and family.
