Any couple that brings their furry friend to their wedding has already started off on the right foot with me. Alisa and Louis created the perfect day together, it was an absolute joy to capture. It's rare that a wedding day is as relaxed as this one; they did a great job staying close to themselves.
Mercury Hall gave us the perfect location for everything we needed: a swing, quaint rooms for the bride and groom to get ready and an intimate ceremony underneath giant trees. As the golden light danced through the branches, Alisa and Louis vowed to continue to love each other for the rest of their lives. It was such an emotional day with tears flowing and memories being created.
I always say that wedding planners and wedding coordinators are essential for a smooth and fun wedding. They keep every bride and groom sane and allow them to only focus on each other. The quality of wedding coordinators differs quite a bit, so make sure you pick a good one. This was my first time working with 3 of Cups Weddings + Events and they were freakin' amazing!
Speaking of recommendations, Gypsy Floral is one of my top wedding florist recommendations for wedding couples in Austin, Texas. With this wedding, she showed me once again why! Gypsy Floral totally delivered for this wedding, with the color pops of deep red and white making the beautiful wedding dress of Alisa and the blush bridesmaids dresses stand out even more.
There was so much Spanish influence throughout the whole wedding day. It was awesome! I particularly liked the mariachi band and the traditional wedding dance by Louis, his brother, and his brother's two daughters.
As they drove off in their epic get-away car, I knew that I would have a blast editing their wedding photos. Alisa and Louis are one of a kind and a perfect match for each other, and it shows in every photograph.
Making it even more memorable, this Mercury Hall wedding was also featured on Wandering Weddings. You can see more by reading their recent blog, How to Plan the Ultimate Post Elopement Party!

Before you jump into the photos, check out what this couple had to say about working with me:
"Nikk killed it! We wanted to capture RAW real life moments and emotion, and have a certain filter to the pictures, which was hard to find. After weeks of looking on IG, we were AMAzed by his soulful eye, stylized pics, and hint of vintage edge, which is exactly what we wanted instead of the usual run of the mill photographer to capture our unconventional wedding. I am a huge art deco lover and loved the timeless coloring (filter). He's super organized, goes with the flow, responds quickly (which for an anxious bride is key), and he's a cool dude! His character shines through his awesome website and IG and we instantly connected with him just through his shots through social media. He also took the time to give us a tutorial on his other shoots, along with a video compilation of the big day, and walking us through the process. When it came to wedding time he got along great with the other vendors and we felt comfortable with him. He creates beauty in his shots and his passion shines through the film. Hire him now!"
