Adam and Kati wanted a small, intimate wedding with just their immediate relatives — and they crafted such a beautiful day together. Their third ever date was at Lenoir Restaurant, Austin, so they chose that as the site for their ceremony and their reception with their closest family members.
A First Look with Some Christmas Spirit
Now, both of them love Christmas, and when they set the date for their wedding, they knew they wanted to incorporate some holiday spirit into their big day. The way they decided to do this was so clever — I haven’t seen another couple do it before! They chose a separate location for their first look, with Adam heading to The Driskill Hotel to wait for Kati to appear.
This iconic hotel has the best Christmas tree, and the atmosphere was so festive and celebratory as Kati emerged from the hotel elevator. We got some great couple’s portraits here before it was time to head to the Lenoir Restaurant.
An Intimate Wedding at the Lenoir Restaurant
Having such a small ceremony, with just five or six close family, gives the whole wedding ceremony a different atmosphere. Everyone piled into one of the Lenoir Restaurant’s little reception rooms for a ceremony that was full of heart and laughter, followed by an intimate dinner with a custom menu.
After dinner, Adam and Kati asked close friends in Austin to join for drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts. Everyone went home with a box of Padallio’s cookies as a wedding favor! I loved getting to photograph a wedding that was so unapologetically ‘them’ — Adam and Kati designed a day that exactly suited them, and it was a joy to be part of that.
