The 1920’s were known for illustrious jazz bands and chic flapper dresses - a monumental decade in history. It’s no wonder this stunning couple wanted to create a timeless and elegant Laguna Gloria wedding, reminiscent of Samantha’s favorite decade. When Chris and Samantha visited Laguna Gloria, they immediately fell in love. A 1916 Italianate-style villa surrounded by beautiful trees, sculptures, and a maze of dimly lit paths, Laguna Gloria was exactly what they had pictured.
Everything about this wedding lived up to their vision of elegance and timelessness. From Samantha’s captivating Alyssa Kristin beaded gown, to the color scheme of forest green, white, and black; the gin and tonic bar to the stunning candle-lit long dining table - everything about this wedding screamed sophistication.
Although first hesitant about having a “first look,” they decided to spend a few private moments together at the “Temple of Love" where they exchanged handwritten cards and some beautiful words before the ceremony.
One of their favorite moments of the day was the wild dance party at the end of the night with all of their friends and family. The couple had people travel from all over to come and join them on their special day. “It was so wonderful to see so many smiling faces on the dance floor [and] it filled our hearts with so much joy to see all of our favorite people together…” Samantha reminisced.
These lovebirds were a blast to photograph. Their pure and beautiful love for each other was undeniable and there is nothing I love more than capturing a Laguna Gloria wedding (or any wedding for that matter!) with that kind of a love.

Before you jump into the photos, check out what this couple had to say about working with me:
"Nikk’s work has such a unique, moody, romantic style which is what drew us to him when we started searching for photographers over a year ago. Not only is his style unique, he captures those raw, unfiltered moments that really encapsulate a wedding day vs. focusing on more staged, forced moments. We used Nikk for engagement photos and our wedding which we’d highly recommend - by the time we got to our wedding day, Nikk felt like a close friend and seamlessly integrated himself into our day. During our first meeting, we really appreciated that Nikk had opinions about some of the things we were still debating (i.e., first look or no first look) and could share his perspective as an expert in the industry. He helped us land on decisions we felt good about and made the most sense for us. When we decided later in the wedding planning process that we wanted a videographer, Nikk took it upon himself to research videographers in his network and even reached out to one we liked for his availability. The two of them collaborated so well on our wedding day that you would have no idea it was their first time meeting. Nikk also works so fast! He turned around our engagement and wedding photos so quickly compared to other friends who’ve worked with wedding photographers. We are so grateful that Nikk was able to document the best day of our lives and would highly recommend him to anyone!"
