The intimate energy of this Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center wedding felt almost effortless. Michele and Alex did an amazing job creating a small and perfect day to celebrate with their nearest friends and family.

The day started with a sight I don’t always see when I’m photographing weddings - the bride rocking her cowboy boots and pulling a wagon full of flowers! Michele helped to install the beautiful altar piece underneath a huge oak tree. She was involved in every detail, surveying her beautiful table settings in the courtyard and putting the finishing touches on everything.

Exquisite Simplicity at this Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Wedding

‘We wanted everything simple, but romantic,’ she recalls from the day, and I couldn’t have described this wedding better myself. Her simple, daisy-studded hairstyle was the perfectly whimsical example of this simplicity and romance.

The ceremony took place at sunset, with just a few of their family present. Afterwards, we set out to explore the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, which ended up being an incredible place to capture Alex and Michele’s playfulness and affection. We loved roaming around and discovering the different beauties around each corner, each moment bathed in golden light.

Eventually, though, the happy couple returned to their guests - and had a spectacular dinner out in the Wildflower Center’s courtyard. The evening ended with everyone giving it their all out on the dance floor in the Great Hall - conga line included!
