There's just something about the joyful South Congress area that really makes for unique engagement sessions. Maysi & Abel's engagement shoot was no exception. South Congress was truly the best location for this fun couple who value keeping laughter as the center of their relationship. We had a blast strolling along South Congress and capturing all the fun, light-hearted moments between the two. This couple chose to keep the attire casual and I thought it was so cool that they chose to rock matching Nike Air Forces.
But, what I truly love the most about this couple, was their sweet, surprise proposal story. Maysi & Abel met while working together in Austin, Texas. The proposal happened in Maysi's hometown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Some of their close friends invited them to go on an airboat down the Mississippi River to a local winery. As they rounded the corner of the windery on the boat, Maysi's friends and family stood cheering and holding up a sign that read, "Maysi will you marry me?" Maysi turned around to find Abel down on one knee with a beautiful ring. It was truly a surprise and I love that Abel made sure to include Maysi's loved ones.
