For Jianna and Eldrich, one of the most important parts of their wedding was finding a quiet and secluded place to celebrate with their friends and family. This led them to the RT Lodge, a verdant and private wedding venue just minutes from metropolitan Knoxville, Tennessee. There, they enjoyed a weekend of family, excitement, and love. Jianna explained their venue choice:
“We chose our location because it had the backyard wedding vibe we were going for but also still felt like you were getting away at a hidden lodge in the forest. Family is very important to both Eldrich and I, so we felt that it was important to find a venue where everyone could be together as our families got to know each other over the three days.”
Relaxed Design, Relaxed Weekend
In terms of decorating and design, the couple decided to rely on the venue’s own charm. They still had floral arrangements and table decor, but they let the venue speak for itself. They found that this gave their perfect weekend a more relaxed feel, which allowed friends and family to get to know one another while taking in the view. To accentuate the natural beauty, Jianna chose a modern, elegant dress to apply a classic and timeless look to her big day. She also wore an intricate and detailed veil covered in one of her favorite things: flowers!
The Moments They Will Always Remember
Some of their favorite parts of the weekend include the food from the venue (locally-sourced and farm fresh), the downtime they spent with everyone, and their dazzling sparkler exit. Jianna was so excited to wear her dress and veil, and seeing Eldrich during their “first look” moment was also a highlight.
When it comes to the preparation, Jianna recommends planning everything sooner rather than later. “The sooner you plan everything, the more time you have to enjoy the weeks leading up to your big day!” she offered.
