Just a few minutes north of Austin sits the stately Woodbine Mansion, a beautiful historical landmark nestled within the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country, and the backdrop for Ilana and Jacob’s gorgeous wedding day. They took a few moments to tell us about their favorite parts, their wedding vision, and how they manage the stress of planning.
Simple, Elegant, and Charming
As far as Ilana is concerned, her wedding was perfect. The couple was sure to include timeless and romantic elements accented with deep lush greenery. The overall aesthetic was designed to be clean but elegant, an inspired look that would always be stunning when they reflected on their day. Clean white, warm champagne, and pops of dark vibrant green complemented each other for their color palette.
How Could She Choose?
“It’s hard to pick a favorite part of our wedding since it was quite literally the best day of my life.”
Ilana
Choose a favorite part? Ilana didn’t think it was possible! Getting to see Jacob for the first time on the wedding day, preparing with her wedding party, and seeing the reception set-up for the first time were just a few of her most cherished moments. Her 3.5 year old nephew created memories as he tore it up on the dance floor. One element that was central for Ilana was the wedding dress. While the ceremony was clean and elegant, Ilana wanted a dress that was larger than life and would stand out amidst the decor. When she first saw the dress’s exquisite detail and dramatic train, she knew that it was the perfect dress for her!
One Detail at a Time
Ilana and Jacob’s wedding was the perfect day. Clean lines and colors, vibrant florals and greenery, and the perfect wedding dress (and more!) were all factors in this special day that they’ll never forget. Ilana’s advice when it comes to the stresses of planning a wedding: take your time! It’s a big project with a lot of moving parts, but taking it slowly and methodically will ensure that everything comes together in the end to create enduring and beautiful memories with friends and family.
