The wedding of Alex and Mac at the Hummingbird House was a day I'll likely never forget. It was filled with such sweet and intimate moments between the wildly-in-love bride and groom, as well as beautiful family moments with Arya, the ring bearer.

You might remember Alex and Mac from the epic engagement session and family shoot at Enchanted Rock in Fredericksburg, Texas. Alex was the one bride-to-be that dared to climb and hike to the top in heels and a dress, which obviously ascends one *pun intended* to instant badass status.

This outdoor/indoor garden style wedding was inspired by the beautiful grounds of the venue. According to the couple, it was the "natural beauty of Hummingbird House that allowed us to keep the decor simple and elegant." Everything was done in style and with a lot of personality; from the bouquets to the ceremony decoration, from the awesome cigar bar to the outfits of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen.

After Alex & Mac exchanged their vows, it was Arya’s turn to do his duty. As he brought the rings forward, Alex started reading her vows to her new step-son and left everyone in tears. This was one of the most beautiful and heartfelt moments I’ve ever witnessed at a wedding.

Alex said that her favorite part of the day was taking a step back with her new husband and looking at all of the family and friends who were there to celebrate their love, and getting down on the dance floor!

Her wedding planning advice for other engaged coupled is to take it day by day. "Wedding planning can be overwhelming. Accept help from family and friends and don't stress the little things," said Alex. "The day is about marrying your best friend, you won't remember the small details or the things that weren't perfect 10, 20 years from now."

Very wise words from a couple whose wedding was pretty much perfect anyway. 😉 All the best to Alex, Mac and Arya; this family left a mark on the hearts of everyone who attended.
