Chic modern design amidst the endless greenery stuns at The Arlo, a premiere wedding venue nestled at the gateway to the unbound beauty of the Texas Hill Country. Wanting to keep things simple and minimalistic yet elegant and modern, Hannah and Jon couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate their love with friends and family!
A Day to Celebrate
Hannah and Jon had actually gotten married already ahead of their big day at The Arlo. This day was just for sharing the love and joy with the most important people in their lives! Other bold choices included the colors they picked; black, burgundy, and gold added unquestionable elegance to the modern space and abundant natural light. The couple wanted things to be simple and to avoid any extra distraction so that the focus would stay on everyone relaxing and having fun together.
Fun for the Whole Family
Everyone gathered together at long, family-style tables (referred to as “Harry Potter” tables by some of the guests!) instead of being grouped in smaller arrangements. Not wanting typical wedding fare, the couple opted for catering from The Peached Tortilla to add a distinctly-Austin foodie touch. Jon felt passionately about the band, so they booked The Nightowls to perform and remind them of when they started dating.
“They played at a wedding that was one of our first ‘dates’ so it was special to have them at our own.”
Plan Ahead, Always
This couple’s favorite part? Having all of their favorite people in one place! The one-big-family feel of the day was full of laughter and joy that the guests will be sure to remember. As for advice, the most important thing to do is plan ahead. The good vendors get booked up quickly, so it’s important to figure out what you want and make it happen. Docs and Excel sheets can help to keep things organized. And on top of all of that: have fun!
