As an Austin Texas wedding photographer, I always love seeing those I work with incorporate unique elements or themes into their shoot that are significant to their story. That's exactly what Jae and Alex did during their in-home engagement session in North Austin.

These two owe their relationship to music, because music is what first brought them together. That's why you'll see so many photos of them playing instruments and singing with one another. If they didn't have such a strong passion for music they may have never met (or at least ended up together), so including this theme was a meaningful way of expressing their beautiful relationship together.

Another purposeful element of this North Austin, Texas engagement shoot was having it within their home. It wasn't decided upon because of convenience or lack of a more creative idea (which I've never found in-home shoots to lack creativity as so many of my favorite shoots have been in-home engagement sessions); rather, they were intentional about telling a part of their story by choosing this location. Their home was something they decided to purchase together a year ago and it stands as a wonderful symbol of their connection and commitment to one another.

As you look through these photos I hope you feel the same sense of warmth and love that I did as I captured two friends, soul mates, deeply in love.
