I had the best time running around the East side of Austin with this adorable trio - Sarah, JP, and their dog, Winston. When couples ask if they can bring their fur baby to their engagement shoot, it’s always a huge YES from me - just look at the kind of love and joy you get at a dog engagement session.
When Sarah looks back on getting engaged to JP, she says ‘The proposal was perfect and totally us. It took place at Bell Springs Winery in Dripping Springs. JP pulled me to the side as we walked up and asked me to marry him! I had no idea it was coming, and was totally shocked as all of our best friends and family continued to show up to celebrate with us.’ Well played, JP.
Celebrating Normal Life in This Adorable Dog Engagement Shoot
‘I think our relationship is special because it is ours. We had so many random connections which just shows how much we were meant to be together. JP is my best friend in the entire world and we get each other. We both value getting to travel together, going to shows and experiencing new things. But we also both really enjoy our time together, going to the same places we have been to a million times, or just hanging out with our dog Winston at home.’
Heading into the park with Winston was my favorite part of this dog engagement shoot - like Sarah says, there’s an ease that comes in the places you’ve been to a million times - and getting to capture that comfort and happiness is one of the reasons I do what I do.
