What do you love most about wedding planning?

Silver Thistle Weddings & Events: The thing we love most about our job is the connection we make with our clients! We take our job seriously and have gained so many amazing friends through this business!

Events By Leslie: What I love most about my work is the people. I have had such incredible experiences with each and every person I have worked with - whether they are clients or fellow wedding vendors.

What's your favorite part of working within the wedding industry?

3 of Cups: I strive for connection and meaning in my every interaction, which contributes to my approach to wedding planning. It's an incredible honor to have the opportunity to meet folks at such a crucial time in their lives. The more I get to know couples, the better I am able to shape and create an experience that supports them in their most vulnerable state on their wedding day. Becoming friends with my clients is the most satisfying reward I can contribute to my life's work.

XO Moreau Weddings & Events: Cheesy or not, my favorite part of working within the wedding industry is watching my clients enjoy themselves and be present in the moment at their own wedding. There is something so incredible about working tirelessly to make the biggest day of someone's life better than they ever imagined possible.

Where do you find the most inspiration for planning a wedding?

Pearl Events: Artists, other planners from around the world, dress designers, floral companies - the sky's the limit!

Burlap & Rose: Personally, I find the most inspiration being out in nature! When I'm designing floral proposals especially, I love going to botanical gardens and parks and being inspired by flowers and greenery in the wild!

What wedding planning trends are you loving right now?

3 of Cups: I appreciate the fact that we can be advocates for social change in the wedding industry. The 3 Of Cups brand highlights the inclusion of LGBTQAI+, mix-race couples, and non-traditional relationships. I LOVE that the media is now giving a voice to couples that have felt under-represented on social platforms. #LOVEWINS

Events By Leslie: My favorite trend is the grazing table! Piles of cheese, charcuterie and fruit for guests to enjoy at their leisure. They bring such vibrancy to every event and give your guests something fun and delicious to indulge in.

What goes into creating a couple's wedding vision?

Silver Thistle Weddings & Events: Every couple is different, but the top 3 things that go into creating a couples vision-come-true is:

  1. What are they about - what can be conveyed about them on the wedding day that makes guests say " this is so them.."
  2. How they connect as a couple - many couples are very different individually. We try to meld these together to create a cohesive vision that makes sense.
  3. What is unique about this couple that makes the day memorable - we like to curate unique events, so what can we design for this couple that really impacts guests and shows the couple that we were listening to their story and conveyed what they wanted on the big day

XO Moreau Weddings & Events: We begin our wedding design process by learning more about the couple and what makes them who they are. We explore the wedding from different angles, such as finding out about areas of the venue they want to enhance or even areas they want to hide. We then incorporate that kind of feedback into the overall design. XO Moreau clients receive design boards that average 20-30 pages in length, and in great detail, the presented design ideas!

What can clients expect when working with you?

Pearl Events: We like to be honest and truthful with our clients. We also like to have fun and make the process an enjoyable one!

Big Time Creatives Event Management & Design: When working with Big Time Creatives, clients can expect their big day to be as flawless and seamless as possible, with a touch of fun and humor for spice.

Is there anything you'd like clients to know before they come to you?

Burlap & Rose: I truly believe that all wedding visions and budgets are valid, but you have to make sure your vision and your budget match. That's where a planner really is necessary.

Big Time Creatives Event Management & Design: When you begin planning your wedding, start by creating your guest list and understand that the number of people is going to affect your total wedding budget, from florals to catering, rentals, venue, etc.

How far in advance should a couple book with you?

Silver Thistle Weddings & Events: A client can book up to a year in advance, but should at least book nine months in advance for full planning. Wedding vendors often book out a year in advance so we want to be able to provide the "A" team for our couples.

Events By Leslie: For full-service planning, clients should book at least one year out to ensure a stress-free planning experience. Wedding management clients should book at least two months out.

What tips and/or advice can you give couples planning their big day?

Pearl Events: Weddings are very different now than when your parents got married. It's hard to compare their weddings with yours. Sit down with your planner and talk about your budget and if it's realistic. People often say they sit down with their parents, but the last time your parents planned a wedding was many years ago. Your planner can give you real thought for reference.

3 of Cups: Listen to your heart. Communicate with one another. Honor who you are as individuals and a couple in partnership. Remember that your wedding is a joyous celebration of your LOVE!!!! And forget the bull that distracts you from the whole point of why you're getting married.

Burlap & Rose: Spend your budget on what you truly care about, but also leave some funds for those things you might have to purchase at the end, like umbrellas or a tent if it rains.
