Alexandra and Andrew had their engagement shoot at the bustling and vibrant South Congress Avenue of Austin, Texas. We checked in with them after to learn more about their story, their relationship, and their plans for the future.
The Spark of Something More

Alexandra may not have been looking for Andrew on the day that they met, but when they encountered each other at a mutual friend’s birthday party, it was also the start of something incredible for them. Alexandra was sitting at a table and socializing with some new people when Andrew sat down to join them. Something sparked during that chance meeting, and now they’ve created a relationship with depth and joy. Together, they’ve bonded over a mutual love of dogs, and animals in general, as well as a passion for exploring new places and trying new things. Alexandra tells us that there’s a wonderful balance between humor and serious commitment, and that Andrew’s playfulness can always get a smile from her.
A Photo Opportunity Becomes a Memory
Andrew had already bought a ring when they went to visit his family in New York, but told Alexandra that he had left it at home. It was all part of his plan, and when they went to Central Park, a photo opportunity became the moment he got on one knee and asked her to marry him. They’ve found the planning to be stressful, but they’re both beyond excited to tie the knot. For them, the best way to plan a wedding was to choose a venue that included catering and a coordinator. Consolidating the wedding needs helped to cut down on the stress of pulling it all together, so that they could focus on the joy and love they intend to share on their wedding day.
